Janet was an arts and crafts teacher for many years before deciding to focus on her own work. Having spent time studying with The Open College of The Arts at Leith School of Arts she is now a full time artist.
Originally from Lanarkshire she now stays in East Lothian and works from a studio at home. Her main theme is Scottish Dancers, using mixed media and vibrant colours Janet captures the movement of the dances and unique styles of tartan. Her aim is to give the traditional Ceilidh a modern twist.
