Andy Peutherer
Andy’s artwork is a result of the push and pull of urban and rural influences on his daily life, from the industrial architecture Glasgow to the stunning landscape of the Highlands and Islands. Growing up in the West Coast of Scotland with access to a thriving creative culture, as well as a love for some of the most beautiful and dramatic scenery in the world, has inspired him to create artwork which reflects both aspects of his environment. Painting for Andy is instinctive and has always been part of his life, he began exhibiting and selling his artwork in 2002 and now works as a full time artist.
His unique style is constantly developing, evolving from his experiences of life in Glasgow, his work is inspired by its diversity of culture and architecture. Andy’s focus on buildings, geometric shapes and photography reflects the influence that the underground Glasgow scene have had on his life.
